A TEEN Biker was almost decapitated when his bicycle crashed and his iPhone headset cable cut into his neck.

Bradley Willoughby, 16, carried the headphones inside his helmet, causing horrible injuries as the cable snagged a fence and cut his throat deeply.

He had been jumping on his motorcycle when he landed heavily, jamming the accelerator that propelled him into a barbed wire fence.

Angie, his horrified mother, found him severely injured with his left foot dangling from his shattered ankle and lacerations of barbed wire all over his body, but the most horrible injury was to his neck.

The copper cable inside the earphone cord had cut into the muscle of his neck, stopping just below his trachea, and had to pull him out of his father's wound.

A rescue helicopter flew Bradley from the family farm in Queensland, Australia, to the hospital in Cairns.
