Mom Just Gave Birth To Her Baby, Then She Looks In Between Newborn’s Legs To See The Gender

When Kim Guiley became pregnant with her second child, the California mother had some intuitive feelings about pregnancy. Guiley had a natural birth at home, and things went smoothly - until a crucial moment.

Throughout her entire pregnancy, Guiley was certain she was going to have a baby. She and her husband, Travis, spent nine months preparing for a girl and choosing names.

In July, during Guiley's natural birth, the mother could not believe it when she looked at her newborn.

"I was just looking between his legs and expecting something different. I was in total shock - I was surprised," he told Inside Edition. "We had girls 'names, we went around and around girls' names."

Guiley thought he was having a baby. The expression on his face is when he discovered he had a child. The moment of wonder was captured by photographer Susannah Gill, and Guiley later published it on his Instagram and described the shocking event on his Santa Cruz Family Doula Collective blog.

"After a lifetime of dreaming of one of each, but months of feeling so strongly that we were having another girl, this is the time we discovered Theo's sex," he wrote.

Guiley had previously aborted a girl from the couple named Hazel. After the miscarriage, they wanted to keep the genre a surprise.

"But during the course of my pregnancy, I was convinced that we were having another girl," Guiley Daily Mail said. "I was surprised by the surprise and the joy, as you can see!"
