Considering all the pollution and dust that our skin is being exposed lately, scrubbing is something that we must include in our daily regimen of skin beauty. And when it comes to skin care, going natural is always the best way to do it.
Why buy artificial scrubs when you can make a lot of them with some of the simplest ingredients that can be found in your kitchen? Here are five great DIY scrubs that you can do at home very easily.
1.Brown Sugar Scrub
Brown sugar that is softer than white sugar makes for a great exfoliant and an exfoliating agent that can leave the skin smooth and silky. All you have to do is mix some brown sugar with olive oil (and a fragrance oil if you wish) and the brown sugar scrub is ready for use. Rub it all over the body (not too hard, not too slow) and wash it.
2.Small oat flour
There are many ways that you can make a scrub of oats, the best and the most common that is mixed with honey. Oatmeal has anti-inflammatory properties and honey has the ability to soothe the skin. Together they make the skin perfect and radiant when used on a regular basis. To make the scrub, mix honey, oats and some olive oil. Rub all over your skin before taking the bathroom every day and wash it.
3. Exfoliating coffee
Coffee has always been known for its rejuvenating effect, both externally and internally. A scrub of coffee is therefore the best way to exfoliate your skin and rejuvenate it. It is very simple to do too. The hardest part perhaps is that you should find coffee beans that have been grounded to an extent where they are not entirely powdered yet. That should be easy once you have your hands on some coffee beans.
Once you do, mix it with a little olive oil and rub it on your skin before washing it. You'd be surprised at the change you'll notice in about a week after using it every day.
4. Green tea scrub
Green tea powder that is left in green tea bags or can be used to make a scrub. Considering how it has a bit of caffeine in it, it makes a great exfoliating exfoliant along with the antioxidant properties of it which can help slow the aging of the skin. Mix green tea with sugar and warm water to make a scrub that can show some amazing toning and cleansing properties.
5. Almond and Milk Scrub
Almonds are rich in vitamin E - the vitamin that can revitalize the skin and make it shine. Milk, on the other hand, is known for its innumerable benefits on the skin. When we make a scrub of these two ingredients, it has to bestow a lot of benefits on our skin. This scrub is easy to make - all you have to do is grind the almonds in such a way that they are not completely smooth and mix with the milk. Scrub this on your skin and you will be amazed at the effect it can have on your skin over regular use.
