Of all our senses, we could say that our sense of sight is
the most important, or at least the most powerful. Our eyes allow us to see the
world around us, read the news, watch TV and evaluate our surroundings. Many
decisions we make throughout life are based on sight. We see something we like,
we buy it. Hungry? In addition to smell, if a dish looks good that directly
influences what we eat. Looking for a partner? The odds are that you will end
up with someone you think is handsome. In fact, humans depend on the vision for
many things. For this reason, much of the world around us is oriented to that
sense, from marketing to entertainment. That said, sometimes there are things
we see that are so disturbing or strange that we wish we could not see them.

see with morbid fascination. Born out of beauty contests 50 years ago, parades
for children has become a big business, even spawning numerous television shows
related to the shows. General surveys and public opinion show that most people
are uncomfortable with children entering contests. Even the French recently
banned beauty pageants for children under 16 years of age. However, other parts
of the world keep "allowing" children to participate, giving rise to
interesting contests and worthy moments. These are 10 of the most popular
contests and contests that most people find very troubling.
